In the following lines I will offer you 10 gift ideas which please any yoga lover and also spiritual junkies.
1. Yoga Mat
Whether your loved one practices yoga at home or in the studio, with a gift like a high quality yoga mat you will never make a wrong choice. My favorite and proven brands of yoga mats are: Manduka (I have their travel version and I use it most often because of its practicality), and Liforme (more expensive but also high quality variant).
Tip: A compromise in case you do not want or cannot buy a classic relatively expensive yoga mat is the travel version, which is lighter and thinner and can be beautifully folded into any bag and often is cheaper. I personally, if I had to choose only one yoga mat, it would definitely be the travel one.
2. Yoga Mat Bag
If you already have your perfect yoga mat, the next step might be to buy a bag. Thanks to the case you will be able to easily transfer it to group yoga lessons.
3. Other Yoga Props
Yoga props are another gift that you will not disappoint anyone with. The basic ones I think are yoga blocks. Then a yoga belt or my favorite – yoga bolster, which will certainly please everyone, because it can be used in many ways, such as during meditation. Last but not least, you can also look for some yoga wheel, recently a quite popular tool. It is a hollow, circular product that helps to relieve tension and stiffness of the muscles in the upper body more intensively and to strengthen the deep muscles.
4. Scented Spray, Incense Sticks, Sage
Another larger category is all kinds of fragrant products. A nice and practical gift is, for example, a scented spray for your yoga mat or as an air freshener. I use Kantu sprays myself, where my favorite fragrances are Tranquility (for my mat) and Bliss (freshener). If you want to invest a little more, you can even get an essential oil diffuser that always creates an amazing atmosphere.
If you want something smaller, even incense sticks can create the right atmosphere. I always have the smell of Santal wood and Frankincense in my cupboard. You certainly don’t step wrongly with buying Palo Santo or Sage which helps you to cleanse your home.
Tip: I buy all these fragrant things in Prague at the store called U Džoudyho, where you can smell them first and choose what suits you or think the recipient will like.
5. The Sound of Music
If you are looking for a truly original gift, you can invest in a harmonizing musical instrument. For me, the clear winner in this category is the chimes. Its sound instantly enchants and soothes you. I myself have the Twilight chimes. Many other interesting musical instruments can be found here.
6. Meditation Pillow
If someone close to you meditates and does not have this gadget which makes meditation a little more pleasant, you can get just him a meditation pillow. Not only will it make sitting easier during meditation, but it is also a nice addition to the apartment.
7. Crystals
It wouldn’t be me not to add crystals to the list. Whether you work with crystals at a deeper level or just admire their beauty, I’m sure this gift will please any spiritual junkie. Always go by your intuition when choosing a crystal. I personally prefer to pick my crystals directly in the store so I can touch them and really know what I’m buying. For this purchase, I recommend once again my favorite and verified store in Prague called U Džoudyho or store WhiteLady in my hometown Teplice.
8. Books
Every bookworm like me will be pleased with a good book as a gift. There are many on the market in the field of yoga and spirituality.
9. Cards of All Kinds
All sorts of cards are now gaining popularity and you will find many of them. I work with several decks almost daily. If you’re interested in tarot cards, I’d definitely recommend starting with Thoth’s tarot deck. If you enjoy working with affirmations, I love Gabrielle Bernestein’s cards The Universe Has Your Back.
10. Voucher for Private Lesson / Public Lesson / Yoga Retreat
